lead•er•ship - [noun] the position or function of an individual,
group, or organization that guides in a direction, a course, an
action, or an opinion.
Today, iCognate is the organization that is guiding the development
and commercialization of the next generation of Software, Products,
and Services for the information age. Our leadership role is built
on our strong desire to apply our cognition technologies to critical
areas of computer interactivity and information processing to
create a smarter, more effective information experience for all
users.
President & Founder of iCognate,
Edward G. Heflin is the visionary, strategist, and technological
guiding force behind the company's technology and business strategy.
From as far back as 1989, Dr. Heflin witnessed the infancy and
rapid growth of the World Wide Web (WWW) while at the European
Center for Particle Physics Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland.
As popularity for the WWW grew and business applications exploded
on the WWW, Dr. Heflin foresaw a need for autonomous, intelligent
information processing to make sense of the vast quantities of
information associated with the internet, corporate intranets,
and proprietary databases. In short, artificial cognition
was the technological solution whose time had come!
Dr. Heflin set out developing artificial cognition technologies
and by 1999 had developed the proprietary Artificial Cognition
Engine (ACE) that is presently used across a wide range of iProducts,
iSoftware and iServices offered by iCognate. It is Dr. Heflin's
clear vision, focused mission, and solid leadership that continues
to guide the development and commercialization of these cognitive
technologies from iCognate toward a smarter, more effective information
experiences for all users of computers in the coming Information
Age.
